Radiology

Eka hospitals implements the latest technologies such as Radiology Information System which gives accurate diagnostic result and treatment. • MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
  Magnetic Resonance Imaging is primarily a noninvasive medical imaging technique used in radiology to visualize detailed internal structure and limited function of the body. MRI works using  a magnetic field and resonance vibrations of atomic nuclei hydrogen.
  The advantage of using MRI is,  this equipment is able to create a piece of coronal, sagittal, axial and oblique without manipulating the patient’s body position so it is very suitable for diagnosing soft tissue. MRI depiction technique is relatively complex because the resulting picture depends on many parameters. If the choosing of the parameters is appropriate, the quality of MRI images can provide detailed picture of the human body with contrasting differences, so that the anatomical and pathological tissues can be evaluated carefully.
• Lightspeed MSCT (MultiSlice Computer Tomography Scanner)
  MultiSlice Computer Tomography scanner is a diagnostic tool that uses X rays to provide three-dimensional images of internal organs of the body. This tool  has an advantage system that helps reduce the dose of X-rays in patients up to 30%.
• Angiography
  This equipment is capable to detect and treat the blockage of blood vessels that may cause serious threat to overall health. The treatment procedure includes ballooning and stenting.
• Mobile Fluorostar C-Arm
  C-Arm is an important tool used by doctors in the operating room or for medical treatment.
• Mammography
  Mammography is used to diagnose breast cancer. This tool uses X rays to create images that can differentiate healthy cells from malignant cells / cancer.
• Roentgen Panoramik
• UltraSonoGraphy (USG)
  As far as ultrasound is concerned, 4D Ultrasound is the latest ultrasound technology. 4D Ultrasound takes three-dimensional still ultrasound images and adds the element of time to the process.

  EKG is used to examine the heart function and condition.

  Electromyography is a technique for evaluating and recording the electrical activity produced by skeletal muscles.

  Audiometry is the testing of hearing ability. Typically, audiometric tests determine a subject’s hearing levels with the help of an audiometer, but may also measure ability to discriminate between different sound intensities, recognize pitch, or distinguished speech from background noise.

Cath-Lab/Angiography
Cath-Lab is the latest diagnostic facilities which serves to provide a snapshot of blood vessel function and blood flow (angiography). Cath-Lab provides a blood vessel function and blood flow (angiography) by entering the catheter through blood vessels as well as certain contrast dyes so that any abnormalities can be detected quickly and accurately.

Endoscopy & Bronchoscopy
A diagnosis of lung diseases as well as observations of air path in the body using a flexible tube with a tiny camera is done through endoscopy and broncoscopy method.

Hemodialisys
Hemodialysis is a method for removing waste products such as creatinine and urea, as well as free water from the blood when the kidneys are in renal failure. Hemodialysis is one of three renal replacement therapies.

Laparoscopic Surgery
Laparoscopic surgery, also called minimally access surgery, bandaid surgery, keyhole surgery is a modern surgical technique in which operations in the abdomen are performed through small incisions (usually 0.5–1.5 cm) as compared to larger incisions.  The minimally Access Surgery offers several advantages, such as minimal incision wounds that can lessen the pain of incision and a relative short recovery time compared compared to conventional surgical wound.

Systocopy
Systocopy used to examine the bladder and prostate. This tool has an advanced equipment-lens with a light to look inside the bladder.

ESWL (Extracorporeal Shock Wave Lithotripsy)
ESWL is the non-invasive treatment of kidney stones (urinary calculosis) and biliary calculi (stones in the gallbladder or in the liver) using an acoustic pulse. It is safer, effective and cost-efficient compared to other methods.
